Sunny London day

HI GUYS! THIS was such a beautiful day in London. My boyfriend, like most people, have the belief that it is always raining in London. It does rain a lot but the weather here compared to Sweden is like 10 times better. Because it is much warmer here. And I love this picture it looks happy, haha.

HEJ FINA!

How ever I am not happy with the shoes from Jeffrey Campbell I was wearing today. I bought them because I thought “OMG cute shoes that aren’t expensive”. But I seriously can’t walk in them. Like at all. I was wearing them when we had dinner at Sushi Samba and I almost fell after 1-2 drinks (NOTE almost fell) but still so embarrassing. I need to buy a new pair of black Louboutin Pigalles instead. I was thinking of buying a pair of Jimmy Choo’s but they did not look that well on actually. Pigalles look so so good on, and they are easy to walk in. Changed into them for dinner at Zuma for this nights dinner :P

And this is how my Filippa K coat looks like when it’s open. I love it so much!

Another thing I love so much is my boyfriend! I always “test locations” I want to be shot in for my outfit pictures. So I always tell him to stand there so I can see how it looks in photos. He doesn’t seem to be enjoying it as much as I do :)

Notting Hill Guide

big city with a lot of exciting and interesting places to visit and see. So if you are there for a weekend only you really have to decide on what you want to do and see the most. Notting Hill is a super cute neighborhood and you should definitely go here if you are interested in experiencing the following things:

– If you’re interested in the history of the neighborhood and want to see and appreciate the beauty of the colorful houses/doors.
– London is a busy and loud city – Notting Hill has a more “village” feel  but yet very stylish. If you want to have a calm atmosphere when strolling around petit brand stores then this is the place for you. I would compare it with shopping in Cannes – only another type of atmosphere and style.
– If you like antique shopping for jewelry, tableware in silver, crystals, rugs, pillows and other quirky British decor things. You should visit the antique market on saturdays. They also have a lot of lovely interior and decor stores in this neighborhood.

But what kind of person aren’t interested in these things? So let’s start with the tips, shall we?

The main street in Notting Hill is Westbourne Grove. Here you can find stores like Maje, Jigsaw, Joseph, Ralph Lauren, Helmut Lang etc. Don’t forget the parallel streets where you can find a small matches store and Diane von Furstenberg. Or just some cozy candle shopping at diptyque. But remember – you don’t come here for the shopping, you come here to shop in this neighborhood. They do have a lot of great shops though.
Notting hill shopping is famous for 2 things: Vintage shopping and antique shopping. To me, there is a huge difference in good vintage shopping and things that are just a bunch of crap. If it’s like WGACA I love it but I personally don’t think the vintage shops in Notting Hill are very good. So it is not something that I would recommend. How ever, the antique shopping is fun for decor things and jewelry. The famous Portobello Road market has their antique day on Saturdays. So crowded though! The stores I recommend are open every day so if you aren’t interested in the market you can go visit them on a day when it’s less crowded.

My favorite stores on Portobello Road are Henry George that has Louis Vuitton trunks, cricket balls, rugby balls and over all a nice collection of cool things to put in your home. I bought some rugby balls because I am currently trying to collect different items from all over the world to include in my decor at home. :) The other store I highly recommend is Hirst Antiques. This is heaven for buying vintage jewelry from Chanel, Givenchy, Dior and so much more. You will not be disappointed!

Serves salads and cupcakes. For the girl that rather save some room for dessert.
Beach Blanket Babylon.
Cool place! Lovely decor, amazing fireplace sublime cocktails. And the food is good too!
Perfect trendy place for lunch on the main shopping street in Notting Hill. I’m having their avocado crab salad in the picture and my boyfriend is having some fish and chips (euww)

I hope you enjoyed and saved some favorites. If you have any London tips for me, please leave me one in the comment field.

Lots of love,

KAN MAN HITTA en mer perfekt bakgrund än denna? London I love you!

COULD YOU GET a more perfect scenery than this? Definitely hard to beat! Miss having this as my home, but I get to enjoy it for a couple of days now at least! And the key to having a good easy to wear traveling wardrobe is wearing a lot of black classic pieces. I love these Salvatore Ferragamo flats and this amazing coat by Filippa K. It’s so simple but yet perfect and it looks amazing open as well.

Antiques at portobello

23:39 | October 4, 2014

FIRST FULL DAY in London. Guess what? It was raining. Surprise surprise! But as long as you have an umbrella you are fine. Sort off. I wanted to go to the Antique market at Portobello road in Notting Hill. Here I am stepping out from one of my favorite stores there. Louis Vuitton trunks. Oh I want them! But I was satisfied buying some pretty rugby balls for home decor. Full outfit coming soon. And London tips! :)

Lots of love, J

Me and my shoes

21:24 | March 11, 2013

I (kind of impulsively) decided that me and my shoes should move to Chelsea. So the last time I wrote here I was in this area to look at an apartment. And when I saw it I knew that there was no need to look at anything else. It is perfectly located just off Kings Road, relatively close to South Ken tube station. And it was available for me to get the keys and move in that saturday, so it was perfect. So on saturday I was at my friends Dan and Nicks housewarming party in east London and moved in here yesterday. Have been up since 7 this morning just washing my clothes, ironing them and hang them up in my closet. Tomorrow I am going to help Karro move in in her new home in Notting Hill. Everybody is moving now, haha.

My new white jersey sweats came today from Shopbop. So I have been wearing them today with my new 10 crosby Derek Lam top as an stay at home outfit while unpacking and get my clothes clean and fresh from being in suitcases for like 2 months. Was going crazy! But are feeling so happy now!
